yesterday in Jiu Jitsu when nobody showed up
John G taught class yesterday and taught us how to do some gooooard named after some dude. I don't know the name of the goooard but it is supposed to be pretty effective and it was. I just cant remember the name to look it up again.
basically this was the Gooard
1- its from your back
2- intertwine your leg into the STANDING opponents leg
3- Grab the same side hand of the opponent
There was a sweep as well.
1- invert the leg positions, so the leg which is intertwined becomes untwined
2- the other leg is placed below the opponents knee
3- kick and pull -simple sweep
the wise Solomon reminded me that the helicopter sweep was also possible from this Goooard.

its been forever since I posted but Pedro was here
1. In and out guard pass- three methods while standing
-Isolate the one leg by dropping on it
- swing arms around the other leg and place over shoulder, it is very imp to keep the other leg isolated to prevent triangles
-Do the scorpion pass
2. Triple choke- this is not that easy to effect but pretty simple technique
-perform a whizzer
-grab behind the collar
-do choke
place leg over the other guys arm to lock it out
place other leg over back to prevent posture up
Same choke can also be performed without the whizzer- choke 2 pull down and to the ground with lapel
- I can't remember the third choke, I will ask clayton today
3. The spider guard pass and the double leg pass
step over to the side
grab own gi
grab leg and drop
with the double leg in the arms
-walk into the guy
-keep hips low and drop
- push legs to one side
with both these techniques it is important to isolate the legs and put weight on it, otherwise the opponent will reguard.
denise richards is hot.
I am watching starship troopers and I just saw her as the Bond girl on some Bond movie.

Last week in Jiu jitsu
So anyway distraction done. I think we did basic armbars and triangles in class. Uncle Jose taught again. Some super wus dudes from the Big 10 network showed up for class and filmed us. I got into the background a couple of times just to make sure I was on TV. This weekend there was a photographer from the press citizen, I conned him into taking pics, so I kinda made the press citizen as well but just in the background. Well I am still on my way to part one of three objectives (rich, famous and in-charge). Anyway back to BJJ. This is what Jose uncle taught us
1. Regular armbar- we all know that so shut the fuck up and stop looking for instructions on a basic armbar here.... you don't deserve to be in Jiu jitsu if you don't know what that is.
2. Armbar fail- switch to triangle.
3. Triangle fail- switch to Oma Plata
4. Oma- Plata fail by opponent posturing up, swing around and switch to triangle
5. Triangle fail- switch to armbar, using the arm captured for the triangle, so its the opposite way. I will start posting pics or videos of all this as soon as that beatch Uday, gets me a new camera for the one I lost.
peace out people who actually waste time reading this crap.
here is the video in which 2 super pansy type dudes, try and make Hawkeye BJJ look pansie. Mofos.

Knee on Belly Attack 1
- With knee on the other dude's belly look for a choke
- If loser turns into you grab his arm (the one he is turning into you with) and lift it up
- Swing around for an armbar
(Issaac taught a similar move in seminar)
Knee on Belly Attack 2
- From side control feed the other dudes gi end to your arm around his head
- Holding tight on the Gi end perform knee on belly
- reach around with your arm and grab a baseball bat choke grip
- swing around the dude to complete baseball bat choke
In other training news I ran 3.3 miles on Sunday in 27:59 and biked 15miles at an avg speed of 16mph. I also biked up Cardiac hill (benton) which killed me. Then I ate a lot of food.

Yesterday and and a few days ago in Jiu Jitsu
this is what he taught
1. Some crazy armbar from open guard which I will never use so I don't remember it anymore
2. Some other crazy triangle was it? I don't remember that either, maybe when I go to class on friday I will ask somebody what they were.
Saturday day Aug 30 was the first Iowa game and I just drank myself silly and slept
Sunday Aug 31 I biked 18 miles avg speed of 14.7 which was kind of sad, but it was really hot.
o Monday Sep 1st was a holiday. I ran 3.3 miles , there was no Jiu Jitsu class
Tuesday Sep 2nd, I did a brick , I swam 32 laps and then ran 3.3 miles and biked 4
Wednesday Sep 3rd was actually yesterday in Jiu Jitsu, Uncle Jose taught again and here is what he taught
1. Armbar from the bottom when in knee on belly
This armbar is done when the opponent tries to do a choke (regular choke) from knee on belly
trap arm
push knee out
shrimp out
sneak bottom leg in
swing top leg over opponents head
perform armbar
(thanks uncle Jose this is awesome)
2. Sweep from bottom when in knee on belly
push the MoFo's leg off at the knee
shrimp out
get into half guard
3. Armbar when in the top on knee on belly ( another super awesome Uncle Jose move)
if the loser you have kneed on belly sticks his arm up
grab the arm
swing the non-knee-on -belly knee over his head
complete armbar
I also started studying for the GMAT,

Yesterday in class we learnt
1. Transistion to Spider guard from closed guard
- Open the guard
- Hold opponents arms tight
- Place one leg on the side of opponent
- place other leg on opponents hip
- Shrimp out
- replace legs with Knees inside the opponents arms
2. Sweep from Spider guard
Kick one leg through the opponents armpit (the leg on the bicep)
place other leg on the opponents knee (opponent has both knees on the ground)
Do a scisser type sweep.
