I started taking ballroom dancing lessons to improve my jiu jitsu, yeah you read that right. But for the life on me I just cant remember the steps. So I decided to post the videos on my blog, just like I post videos of Jiu jitsu moves so I dont forget them.
the first video is of the Argentine tango, atleast the basics. You are not going to get anything out of this video unless you are taking classes, but watch the video , the second half has the dance with counts. You will have no idea what counts are unless you take classes, so DO NOT ask me what they are

So after 2 weeks of Tango classe, that lady switched it up on me. She started teaching somet other dance called the Rhumba. I found this video with this really hot but dum chick and a dude wearing cheap ill fitting jeans. The instruction in the video is at the latter half of the video, so if you can bear the really cheap powerpoint visuals in the begining and the bad demo, it actually has some goood dance instruction

here is some basic Rhumba walk steps from dance universe

some more rhumba basic techniques

alright enough of that dance crap, here are some more jiu jitsu videos for all you people who come to this site to watch the jiu jistu (sorry I have been posting other stuff of late!)
So we did a lot of Xguard stuff ( not my favourite move). the X guard sweep is actually pretty simple but the calf splicer from x guard requires you to be really flexible. We did the gi version , but all I could find was the no-gi version. Naturally I am not going to tell you how to get into the calf splicer from the x guard because that is a patented Pedro move. If you are smart though you can see the splicer move , The dude in the video, his legs are actually set up to do it!!!
This video is actually good for X guard transitions. I feel that x guard is more of a No-gi move, because the Gi seems to get in the way a lot, or you have to be that flexible!!
